Freed’s Desserts Follow Dynamic Performance
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, April 18, 2008 – Last night The Showroom at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino was packed for the anniversary performance of Stomp Out Loud. The show concluded with streamers and a giant Stomp-themed cake from Freed’s Bakery at the curtain call. The cast then celebrated its successful first year with an after party at Trader Vic’s, with dessert provided by Freed’s Bakery of Las Vegas.
The enormous Stomp-themed cake that was brought out at the end of the performance consisted of layers of white cake and Freed’s signature Bavarian cream filling. The decoration was unique for the occasion, with an edible broom and trash can lids.
The cake that was provided for the after party at Trader Vic’s was a big hit as well. A three-tiered cake was delivered, airbrushed and adorned with edible ornaments from Stomp’s performance. The bottom (and largest) tier was made of red velvet cake and cream cheese filling; the middle tier was chocolate cake with layers of Bavarian cream and raspberry puree; and the top was white cake, strawberry puree, and Bavarian cream filling. Freed’s Bakery has served the Las Vegas area for the past 49 years, and has been featured on such shows as The Food Network’s “Roker on the Road,” “$40 a Day with Rachael Ray,” “Sugar Rush,” and “After Midnight.” Freed’s has also been featured on Lifetime’s “Top This Party,” Hawaiian Airlines’ “The Best of Las Vegas,” and “Las Vegas Live.” Freed’s has been featured in Bon Appétit, Martha Stewart Weddings, People’s Amazing Real Life Weddings, and Conde Nast Traveler.
