LAS VEGAS, Nevada, December 4, 2008 – Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne celebrated his 60th birthday last night at Il Mulino on the Las Vegas Strip. Mr. Osbourne, surrounded by family and friends, was presented with a custom cake from Freed's Bakery of Las Vegas for the occasion.
The cake, ordered to feed 60, began as a half sheet of our moist and delectable carrot cake. Filled with cream cheese and covered with our 50/50 icing, a blend of rosette and buttercream, the cake was designed to look like an elegant picture frame. The centerpiece of the cake was a large edible image of Mr. Osbourne as a child, and the frame that surrounded it was made of white fondant, painted gold. The cake was completed with black and gold scroll work.
