Martha Stewart Weddings Suggests Freed's for Wedding Cake
LAS VEGAS, Nevada, April 3, 2000 – The most recent issue of Martha Stewart Weddings touts Las Vegas as a destination where “you can have a wedding as lavish and traditional,” “stylish and romantic,” and “no less meaningful and momentous” than anywhere else. The publication recommends several local vendors that exceed expectations for wedding necessities such as: chapels, hotels, dresses, and, of course, cake. Freed’s Bakery of Las Vegas was the suggested stop for wedding cake and as we are consistently voted the top bakery in Las Vegas, we couldn’t agree more.
Freed's is recommended in the following paragraph: “Every bride and groom should have a delicious and lovely cake to cut. They can find one at Freed’s Bakery, where manager Joni Freed estimates the bakers make 1,500 wedding cakes a year, from tiny to towering.” Freed’s Bakery has served the Las Vegas area for the past 49 years, and has been featured on such shows as The Food Network’s “Roker on the Road,” “$40 a Day with Rachael Ray,” “Sugar Rush,” and “After Midnight.” Freed’s has also been featured on Lifetime’s “Top This Party,” Hawaiian Airlines’ “The Best of Las Vegas,” and “Las Vegas Live.” Freed’s has been featured in Bon Appétit, Martha Stewart Weddings, People’s Amazing Real Life Weddings, and Conde Nast Traveler. Freed’s has been voted Best of Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Reader’s Choice for the last 26 years, and has been recognized by AOL City’s Best and The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2007.
