Freed's Bakery Creates a 6' Electric Guitar Cake for Dave Navarro's 40th

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, June 8th, 2007 - Last night rocker Dave Navarro celebrated his 40th birthday at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino among fans and friends.  Mr. Navarro donated some of his personal effects and signature PRS electric guitar to the hotel's holdings and afterwards celebrated at the Body English nightclub with a cake from Freed's Bakery of Las Vegas.

A custom-made 6' Electric Guitar Cake was the centerpiece of the party.  The three-layered marble cake with chocolate Bavarian cream filling took the team at Freed's between 3 and 4 hours to decorate.  "Not For Nothing" did the team add black icing chains to the requested skulls and crossbones.  Naturally, the entire cake was edible.  The body and neck of the guitar were covered in black and white fondant, and the strings consisted of pulled sugar.
