LAS VEGAS, Nevada, May 21, 2008 - Last night Cher turned 62 among family, friends, and a custom-made cake from Freed's Bakery of Las Vegas. Her production manager ordered the dessert and borrowed heavily from the advertising campaign for Cher's new show at the Colosseum in Caesar's Palace. We here at Freed's Bakery wish Cher many happy returns.
The dessert began as a full-sheet of chocolate cake, filled with our creamy chocolate mousse. The cake was then iced and decorated with scroll work, before being draped with a silvery scarf made from fondant. The centerpiece of the cake was the diamond necklace that eventually finished the design. ‘Cher’ was written out as it appears on the program for her show at the Colosseum, and then studded with high-quality Swarovski Crystals.
