1959

Milton and Esther Freed opened a snack bar at Panorama Market in Las Vegas. They sold a few baked goods at their bakery including donuts and danish. The demand for the danish and donuts was huge so they started to add a few other items to sell at their snack bar. Within a few months they had a full fledge bakery besides the snack bar. They purchased baked goods from other bakeries and sold them in their bakery.

1960 - 1967

Within one year they opened a production plant and another 1-2 outlets. Within another year they had two production plants and another 4-5 outlets. So, by 1965 they had two production plants and 7 outlets.

1968

The Freed's sold all of the production plants and outlets and opened one bakery inside of the Boulevard Market at the Boulevard Mall. The Boulevard Market was a beautiful modern independently operated market. The Freed's operated this bakery until 1980.

1980 - 2007

The Boulevard Market closed and the Freed's opened their first totally independent bakery outside of any market. When Esther and Milton Fried founded Freed's Bakery in 1959, they had no idea that one day their hard work would get world wide recognition. In 1996 Freed's Bakery was proud to be featured in Bon Appetit magazine. April 2002 was another milestone for Freed's Bakery when Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine did an article on Las Vegas Weddings which featured Freed's Bakery. Recently Freed's Bakery was recognized on two different Food Network television shows; Food Finds and $40.00 A Day.

For over 40 years our family owned and operated bakery has been serving the highest-quality cakes and baked goods in Las Vegas to locals and visitors alike. When Milton and Esther Fried opened their first bakery in 1959, they found master bakers from all over the world to create the same delicious recipes that we have been serving for over 40 years.  Today, our family of employees has grown to more than 30, some have been with us as long as 25 years.
